How is summer break treating you?
"What summer break", you say? Exactly.
For the homeschooling Mom there is no "break".
I'm either playing catch-up from last year (filing papers, organizing, etc...) or thinking about which curriculum to use next year, or planning my teaching schedule, or worrying that I am behind schedule on my children's summer math timed tests I had glorious ambitions of them doing. AGGGH!
I realize that last paragraph was a run on sentence. That's just what Homeschooling feels like.... a run-on.
But guess what? I still know homeschooling is what God has called me to do this year. I feel at peace about it. Even have a couple friends jumping into homeschooling for the first time this year.
In fact, I am excited about the curriculum and starting a fresh year.
Sure, I have my doubts and worries.
I'll leave you with a long-time favorite quote of mine from Oswald Chambers.
All our fret and worry is caused by calculating without God.
So don't worry - Enjoy your "break" :)
P.S. - Thanks to Tiffany S. for the lead on Apologia's Science curriculum. That's what we will be using this year. Very excited to try it out! (Check out the links in the right margin)

More Links added
Thanks to my cousin, Keely, I have added more links.
Keely also sent me these nuggets of wisdom via Facebook:
We've been homeschooling for five years now and the best advice I can give anyone is to relax. Have fun. Enjoy your kids.
Keep Christ at the center. If you're going to "skimp" on any subject in a day, don't let it be your Bible lesson. That's why we're here.
Thanks for the reminder!

NEW
Check out the New Links!
I tried to organize them based on subject. A few (like Kidzone) were too good of resources for multiple subjects, so they are listed under "Teacher Helps"
Let me know of any other links you would suggest, or any category I missed!
Hope this helps you, I know it helped me get MY sites organized! :)

Help!
If you are a homeschooling parent, would you mind posting a note on what curriculum you use? OR websites you have found useful? That way I can post them for others to link to.
Thanks so much!
